At the HfM Würzburg, all orchestral instruments are taught by internationally renowned teachers in both the artistic and the artistic-pedagogical bachelor's degree program. In addition to individual lessons of 90 minutes per week, participation in the university symphony orchestra as well as in various chamber music ensembles offers optimal preparation for future artistic professions. In addition, internal auditions and public class evenings are held regularly in all classes.

Intensive preparation for orchestral auditions, including competent placement in essential orchestral positions, as well as internships with various Bavarian orchestras, for which one qualifies through an audition, are aimed in particular at a professional career as an orchestral musician. Furthermore, numerous opportunities to acquire additional qualifications in various fields such as historical performance practice, new and contemporary music, also popular music and jazz, broaden the spectrum of artistic competence. Regular master classes with renowned guest lecturers enrich the educational program.
