As a place of care, retreat and meeting space, the room offers a variety of occupational materials and toys for children of different age groups.

The central feature is the'KidsBox', developed by the family service of the JMU Würzburg and the Polzer company. It is suitable for babies and children up to primary school age. In 2018, it won the international IF Design Award.

What can be found in it?

  • a travel cot that is also suitable as a playpen
  • a folding mattress and an isomat for crawling and playing on the floor
  • a clip-on seat to dock onto the child's own desk
  • various toys and painting materials
  • books and much more that is attractive, useful and sensible for smaller children.

When opened, the KidsBox also offers a protected area for breastfeeding.

In addition, a couch with breastfeeding pillow, a refrigerator with icebox and a workstation equipped with a computer are part of the inventory.

How to use the space with your child/children

  1. The rules of use for the room are available for download on our website,
  2. After you have read them, please contact Ms Kloiber. She will provide you with
    1. information on data collection for the parent-child workroom.
    2. a declaration of consent for the parent-child workroom.
  3. Immediately after signing the consent form, the room will be activated.
  4. You can then book the room yourself in our CAS room booking system.
