The student representation includes the members of the Speaker's Council, the Student Convention, the two student representatives in the Senate and the University Council as well as the student members of the study commissions. Through the work in the committees of the university, the interests of the students are represented to the university management, lecturers and administration, whereby communication between all members of the university is particularly important to the student representation.

In addition, the student council regularly organizes various events to strengthen the community at the university. For example, the regular university parties provide an excellent opportunity to make acquaintances beyond the daily routine of studying. Concert trips (in recent years to Frankfurt, Leipzig and Amsterdam, among others) also include the social component, but primarily make a further contribution to musical education. Sports activities such as the participation of a university team in the Würzburg Residence Run further round out university life.
