The "Organ Art and Organ Building I" certificate programme focuses on the acquisition of skills and abilities that form a bridge between the craft and the academic study of organ building at both national and international level. The aims of the programme are the development of discourse skills, the further development of levels of perception and the improvement of competence in sound production (intonation) in organ building.

Contents are:

  •     Intonation - disposition - sound patterns (historical and new)
  •     Historical organ - organ of the future
  •     Organ building requirements (for organists)
  •     Musical requirements (for organ builders)
  •     Communication and presentation of organ building and sound technology topics

Cooperation partner at the course level is the organ builder Klais from Bonn.
