The vocal studies at the HfM Würzburg offer a broad spectrum of artistic and artistic-pedagogical training and are geared towards the professional requirements of professional singers. Individual or group lessons in singing, correpetition, scenic performance, speech training, phonetics, Italian, teaching practice as well as numerous other teaching offers create the prerequisites for a successful activity in the various professional fields in the field of singing.

The HfM Würzburg offers ideal conditions for vocal training with its university-owned, modernly equipped theater. Every semester, a production in the field of musical theater is conceived, developed and publicly performed under professional conditions. In addition, there are many performance opportunities for students in cooperation with the departments of Early and New Music, Choral Conducting and Chamber Music. Another focus of the program is song composition. Themed programs are developed in the Lied classes and presented in recitals. Regular master classes and workshops with renowned singers expand the training offered.

The bachelor's degree program in voice aims at a career as a soloist or chorus singer at an opera house or in a tariff-bound choir. In addition, it provides the skills for a teaching position and also serves as preparation for a successful independent career as an opera or concert singer.
