Violoncello

In the bachelor's program with violoncello as a major, individual lessons of 90 minutes per week are accompanied by numerous other practical teaching opportunities such as correpetition, orchestral training, chamber music, ensemble playing (also in cooperation with the departments of New Music and Early Music). In addition, internal class recitals, public class evenings, participation in the university symphony orchestra, and master classes with prominent guest lecturers complement the artistic training.

The program aims at a professional career as a soloist, orchestral musician, chamber musician or instrumental teacher. To this end, students are led to successful independence in order to meet the demands of public musical life.
