The bachelor's degree program Elementary Music Pedagogy (EMP) with its profiles jazz and classical is accredited for the period 01.04.2021 to 31.03.2029 without any conditions. The seal was awarded as part of an internal accreditation by the quality assurance system of the University of Music Würzburg in accordance with the Bavarian Study Accreditation Ordinance (BayStudAkkV).

The artistic-pedagogical bachelor's degree program in Elementary Music Education is particularly suitable for people who enjoy singing, making music, moving and dancing. An essential component is the occupation with diverse possibilities of artistic expression such as voice, body and instrument. The human being with his or her individual abilities and skills is always at the center of attention.

The study of EMP at the HfM Würzburg is particularly characterized by a high degree of practical relevance. From the very beginning, students are familiarized with their future professional reality. This is achieved through the constant supervision of model classes, in which they actively get to know different target groups from infancy to late adulthood through observation and their own teaching experiments. The course content is continuously adapted to the current requirements of the professional field. In courses such as "Movement, Body Education, Dance", "Rhythm, Percussion, Ensemble", "Voice Education" and "Rhythmics", students expand and refine their artistic skills.

With the bachelor's degree, students receive the teaching qualification for elementary music making with different target groups as well as for the chosen minor subject (instrument or singing in classical or jazz). This enables them to work in public and private music schools, freelance or in cooperation with other institutions such as general education schools, daycare centers, senior citizen facilities, in continuing education and at educational institutions in a wide range of fields.
