To support lifelong and flexible learning, the HfM Würzburg offers certificate studies in all areas of music education. The focus is on the acquisition of artistic and pedagogical skills in another instrument (classical or jazz), in singing, in elementary music pedagogy as well as in composition or ear training. Certificate studies can also be taken parallel to an artistic-pedagogical bachelor's degree or a teaching degree from the 5th - 8th semester. Methodically, the study program is structured according to the concept of self-qualification and self-organization. It is - on a scientific basis - action-oriented learning and practical practice. The two-year course is modular and can be completed while working.

Cooperation partners are regional and local music schools, the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt with its Applied Social Sciences program in Würzburg, the Association of German Music Schools and the German Association of Musicians.
