Global Groove Orchestra

Ensemble for Music of the World

Would you like to actively get to know the music of different cultures?
The Global Groove Orchestra has set itself the task of interpreting different musical styles from around the world and exploring the underlying cultures. This is done in the spirit of the respective musical traditions through variable learning paths such as oral tradition & playing by ear, inclusion of improvisation, free arrangements and flexible role allocation in the orchestra.

Goals:

  • Development of a broad genre repertoire
  • Sensitization for different music cultures
  • Confrontation with the musically “own” and “foreign”
  • Expanding one's own ideas of sound
  • Finding personal expression
  • Strengthening tolerance and humanity
  • Enjoying making music together
