In a cooperation agreement concluded on November 11, 2019 between the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg and the HfM Würzburg, the cooperation with the Philharmonic Orchestra Würzburg was established. This will significantly expand the practical relevance of conducting training and training as an orchestral musician at the HfM. Students in the "Orchestra Conducting" degree programme are to acquire professional practice in conducting workshops and examination concerts (master's concerts), and students in the "Orchestral Instruments" degree programmes are to be integrated into productions at the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg on a project basis.
