The funding programs of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Stibet I and Stibet III enable scholarships of a maximum duration of six months for international students and doctoral candidates of the HfM Würzburg. The financial support is intended especially for the advanced stage of studies. In addition to financial eligibility, a prerequisite is the goal of successful completion of studies.

After the application for a scholarship has been received in due time, a selection committee decides on the respective award twice a year. In addition, international students can apply for the DAAD Prize, worth €1,000, which is awarded once a year for outstanding artistic achievements as well as social and intercultural commitment.

The annual funding from the "Internationalization" fund of the Free State of Bavaria supplements the scholarship opportunities for international enrollees at the HfM Würzburg and is also aimed to the same extent at German students who intend to go abroad.
