Funded by the Free State of Bavaria to realize equal opportunities for women in research and teaching, a special scholarship offers female students aspiring to a university career as well as female lecturers the opportunity to be supported with 1,200 euros per month for one year.

The application deadline is the end of April of the respective year. Application forms and call for applications can be obtained from the Women's Representative.

Contents and goals

• The goal is a professorship or other teaching position at a conservatory.
• Applicants must be planning an artistic development project or a scientific dissertation as a research project. A detailed exposé must be submitted on the chosen topic, which will be evaluated by the university administration.
• For female students, a supervisor is required to provide an expert opinion on the artistic project or scientific research project.

Further information and requirements

• The scholarship is announced once a year.
• The grant amounts to 1,200 per month plus any childcare allowance for a maximum of one year; a follow-up application for a further 6 months is possible.
• Female students and female lecturers with a low number of hours whose center of life is Bavaria are eligible to apply.
• Young female scientists of any qualification level who have interrupted their scientific project due to parental leave can apply for a re-entry scholarship.
• Two copies of the application must be received by the Women's Representative by the deadline.
• In case of a positive evaluation, the university management forwards the applications to the ministry.
