Vladimir Stupnikov, student of the Meisterklasse Accordion with Prof. Stefan Hussong, has received a highly prestigious scholarship from the Cité des Arts in Paris. He will take up this scholarship from October 2026 and will have the opportunity to continue his artistic development at an international level.
The Cité des Arts scholarship is aimed at outstanding young musicians from all over the world. It enables the scholarship holders to live in Paris for a certain period of time, devote themselves intensively to their artistic work and exchange ideas with international colleagues. Professional support, rehearsal rooms and a wide range of performance opportunities are available within the renowned institution.
Vladimir is also a scholarship holder of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now e.V. in Germany. He has won several awards at international accordion competitions, including
- 2014-2015: 1st prizes at the Klingenthal International Competition (Germany) and Trophée Mondial de l'Accordéon (Switzerland)
- 2017: 1st prizes at the II All-Russian Music Competition (Russia), Coupe Mondiale (Italy) and Mons Competition (Belgium)
- 2018-2024: 1st prizes at the PIF Castelfidardo (Italy) and XXXI Arrasate Hiria (Spain)
Vladimir is regularly in demand as a concert musician in Russia and Europe. His previous appearances include the Mariinsky Theatre, the P. I. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the Small Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra as well as major concert halls in Switzerland, Austria, Portugal, Belgium, Lithuania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Italy, Serbia, Germany, Estonia, Finland and France.
With the scholarship at the Cité des Arts, Vladimir Stupnikov is expanding his international musical work and continuing his career at the highest level.
