We are delighted to be able to report on the great success of our student: At the"1st ZJCM Bottesini Competition Asia" in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province (China), our double bass student Junzhe Jia was successful and was awarded 2nd prize as well as the internship prize.

Junzhe Jia has been studying at the University of Music Würzburg in Prof. Dominik Wagner's Meisterklasse since 2024. He began his musical career at an early age: he gained his first orchestral experience in 2012 in youth orchestras in his home town. He has been principal bass of the China Youth Symphony Orchestra since 2018.

He successfully continued his career in Germany: Junzhe has been an academy member of the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra since 2022, completed an internship with the NDR Radiophilharmonie in 2023 and has been a member of the Academy of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra since 2025.
