In the Corona year 2021 everything is different, including the entrance examination at the University of Music Würzburg. Instead of needing to travel to Würzburg to be tested in person, we will allow applicants for most degree programmes this year to send us a video of your musical ability in the core subject of your choice. You will receive an upload link from the Department of Student Services in time for you to upload your video.

Your video must have been recorded with a single, non-moving camera, and you must be clearly identifiable on this video. For keyboard instruments, the camera must also point towards the keyboard. For plucked instruments, the camera must also point to both hands. Each individual piece / movement must be uncut, recorded in a single take. To comply with the prescribed video duration, you can shorten or interrupt the selected works / pieces / songs at your own discretion.

At the beginning of the video, you must hold your valid ID card or passport clearly legible in the camera so that you can be identified. Then introduce yourself for about 1 minute and list the program you have prepared along with titles and composer names. Then you are to play the examination programme as it is listed for your core subject.
