Contact person for gender equality issues for non-scientific staff
The contact person for gender equality issues for non-academic staff performs tasks for the administrative staff of the University of Music Würzburg within the meaning of the Bavarian Act on Gender Equality (Bayerisches Gleichstellungsgesetz - BayGlG). The realization of equality between women and men in the public service in Bavaria is promoted in accordance with this law, taking into account the priority of suitability, ability and professional performance (Art. 94 para. 2 of the Constitution).
The aim of the promotion is in particular
- to increase the proportion of women in areas in which they are employed in significantly lower numbers than men in order to achieve a balanced participation of women,
- to ensure equal opportunities for women and men,
- to work towards a better work-life balance for women and men.
A further aim is to work towards the equal participation of women and men in committees. The aim is also to ensure that all employees, particularly those in supervisory and management positions, guarantee the actual implementation of equal rights for women and men.
