The HfM Würzburg condemns the Russian attack on Ukraine.

With dismay and horror we perceive the suffering of many thousands of people. Our thoughts are especially with the Ukrainian students and their families as well as the Ukrainian artists, but also with the Russian artists.

Especially the art academies are a place of human interaction and exchange of scientific and artistic competences, a place of understanding and a chance for mutual understanding across cultural and political borders. As a sign of solidarity with the Ukrainian people and as a contribution to existing relief efforts, the University of Music will hold an impromptu benefit concert on Saturday, March 12, 2022, in support of the City of Würzburg's refugee relief efforts for Ukraine, including the participation of Ukrainian and Russian ensembles. Another benefit event will take place within the framework of a symphony concert on 7.04.2022.

The concert is under the patronage of Lord Mayor Christian Schuchardt, Würzburg.

The event is free of admission, but donation boxes will be set up and envelopes prepared for larger amounts of money, for which donation receipts can be issued for amounts of €100 or more. A visit is possible only with prior reservation.
