The donated sum of almost €75,000 was made possible primarily by the generous provision of funds from the charitable Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation, based in Switzerland. In addition, the Hypo-Vereinsbank also contributed. The donations will allow the support of 65 music students who had applied for this due to their financial need.

The Chairman of the Musikalische Akademie, Johannes Engels, and its Treasurer, Erwin Pfeuffer, presented the symbolic check to the President of the University of Music Würzburg, Prof. Dr. Christoph Wünsch.
