At the national competition "Jugend musiziert", which took place from 21 to 31 May 2026 in Munich and Regensburg, numerous young musicians from the PreCollege were able to shine with outstanding results. In total, several 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes were won in various categories - impressive proof of the high artistic quality of the programme.

The ensemble included Eric Goitia Schmitt (flute, Weimar), Sara Pausch (oboe, Weimar), Eric Minkler (clarinet, Weimar), Kaelan Florian König (bassoon, Würzburg) and Medea Isabel Noll (horn, Weimar).

Maja Rieger (harp, class of Prof. Andreas Mildner) also achieved a great success, scoring 25 points and thus also winning 1st prize.

In singing, Sofia Konoshchenko (PreCollege, class of Prof. Martin Hummel) was awarded 2nd prize at the national competition in Regensburg, thus sending out another strong signal for the high quality of musical training.

Chamber music
In the chamber music category, the duo Lilia Bojadzijew (class of Prof. Herwig Zack) and Joen Park (class of Wolfgang Nüßlein) impressed the jury. The two musicians were awarded 2nd prize and 22 points.

The results impressively emphasise the commitment of the students and the dedicated work of the teachers involved. We would like to congratulate all prizewinners on this great success.
