This year's national "Jugend musiziert" competition took place in Wuppertal from June 5 to 11, 2025. The young talents from the University of Music Würzburg impressed with outstanding performances.
First and foremost, Isabella Torres (violoncello, class of Prof. Niklas Eppinger) achieved a 1st prize with 24 points - her performance was particularly praised by the jury.
Also successful were Leyla Hehrmann (guest student, class of Nimrod Guez), Maria Bojadzijewa (violin, class of Prof. Korbinian Altenberger) and Paul Stich (piano, class of Michaela Schlotter), who together with Anna Manz (cello, Regensburg) won 1st prize in the "Chamber Music with Piano" category in age group V.
Kornelius Kreuzer (percussion, class of Prof. Mark Lutz) shone with another 1st prize, achieving the highest score in his category with 25 points.
In addition, Raphael Rupa (violin, class of Prof. Michael Szykulski) with 20 points and Gavin Wildfellner (double bass, class of Prof. Michinori Bunya) with 21 points were each awarded a 3rd prize.
These impressive successes not only show the great commitment of our Pre-Kollegiate students, but also the outstanding quality of training at the University of Music Würzburg.
We would like to congratulate all the prizewinners!
