At the start of the academic year, the HfM Würzburg offers all new students the opportunity to find out about degree programmes, explore the university and get to know lecturers and fellow students.

On Onboarding Day, new staff members have the chance to get their first impressions, meet colleagues and even take part in a workshop with Oliver Berger.

The ‘Welcome Day’ for new international students kicks off the programme of information events:
Friday, 9 October 2026, from 10.00 am in the multi-purpose room (Hofstallstraße building).

On Tuesday 13 October 2026, the following events are on the programme for all new students to mark the start of the academic year:

The ceremonial opening of the academic year on Wednesday, 23 October 2026, at 6.00 pm in the Great Hall (Hofstallstraße Building) will mark the highlight and conclusion of the events to kick off the academic year. Alongside informative speeches, an engaging musical programme will ensure an entertaining evening.
