Our student Daniel Schütz is set to take up an academy post with the Essen Philharmonic Orchestra for the 2026/27 season. He will complete his Bachelor’s degree in viola at the Würzburg University of Music under Prof. Nimrod Guez in 2026 and will go on to pursue a Master’s degree there.
As a chamber musician, Daniel Schütz has already performed at renowned festivals and concert series, including the Heidelberg Spring, the Würzburg Bach Festival and the Master Concerts of the Würzburg Academy of Music. He began his musical training at the Institute for the Early Development of Highly Gifted Musicians (IFF) at the University of Music, Drama and Media in Hanover, in Christian Pohl’s class.
Daniel Schütz is supported by the Deutschlandstipendium. His position as an academy musician with the Essen Philharmonic Orchestra marks another important step in his artistic career.
