A major success for Julius Ebert, a student of Prof. Ari Rasilainen and Prof. Andreas Hotz: from the 2026/2027 season onwards, he will take up a post as principal répétiteur with conducting duties at the Theater Vorpommern in Stralsund, Greifswald and Putbus.

The appointment followed a multi-stage selection process. After a successful audition on 17 April 2026, Julius Ebert was invited to a second round, in which he demonstrated his conducting skills on 30 April 2026. With success: the Theater Vorpommern offered him a full-time position as principal répétiteur with conducting duties.

Julius Ebert was already able to gain valuable practical experience whilst still a student. On 14 June 2026, he will make his conducting debut at the 6th Chamber Concert of the Mainfrankentheater Würzburg. In addition, he will be working as a musical assistant and répétiteur at the Mainfrankentheater in July.

Before moving to Vorpommern, Julius Ebert still has two important graduation events on the programme at the university. The final concert in the subject of orchestral conducting will take place on 11 June 2026 at 7.30 pm in the Great Hall. The final concert for the musical theatre accompaniment course will follow on 17 July 2026 at 3.00 pm in the Bibra Theatre.
