After convincing performances in the auditions for the coveted (permanent) position of 2nd concertmaster of the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, violin student Michiru Soeda (master class of Prof. Herwig Zack) is pleased to hold a permanent position in this established orchestra with the beginning of the upcoming season. Michiru Soeda was born in London and began playing the violin at the age of five. After her first steps of musical education at the Tokyo University of the Arts (Music High school, Bachelor studies), the young musician has been studying at the HfM Würzburg in the class of Prof. Herwig Zack since 2016 (first in the master study program, since 2019 in the master class). The prizewinner of national and international competitions has also performed as a soloist in numerous orchestral concerts in Japan, but has also gained orchestral experience in Germany with the SWR Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart, among others. As a chamber musician, she recently attracted attention with the Duo AMuse - violin and accordion – and won several international competitions, was invited to major music festivals and was also a soloist in premieres of renowned composers.
On Monday, July 11, 2022, 7:30 p.m., Great Hall, Michiru Soeda will be heard for the last time (at first?) at the HfM Würzburg.
