A success for the oboe class at the Würzburg University of Music: Eduardo García has won the audition for the permanent post of principal oboist with the Osnabrück Symphony Orchestra.

The Spanish oboist is currently studying for his Master’s degree at the Würzburg University of Music and Performing Arts under Prof. Domenico Orlando and is also a trainee at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. After graduating with distinction with a Bachelor’s degree from the Maastricht Conservatoire (under Prof. Tom Owen), he has already gained extensive orchestral experience at the highest level.

As a temporary replacement in the position of principal oboe, he has performed with, amongst others, the Hamburg State Philharmonic Orchestra, the MDR Symphony Orchestra Leipzig, the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO). His artistic career is further enriched by appearances at renowned international festivals such as the Gstaad Menuhin Festival (Switzerland) and the Grafenegg Festival (Austria).
