Shanting Zhong has been studying viola with Prof. Theodor Nüßlein in the master's program at the University of Music Würzburg since the winter semester of 2022. Recently, the violist, who has already collected numerous prizes at renowned competitions in the course of her still young career, was able to earn two more awards.

At the XIV International Competition "Szymon Goldberg" at Colditz Castle near Meißen in Saxony, which is organized by the International Music Academy Meißen e. V. and named after the famous musician Szymon Goldberg, Shanting Zhong was awarded two prizes due to her convincing performance. She received the diploma prize as well as the special prize of the youth jury. In addition to cash and non-cash prizes, the awards also include the arrangement of concert performances and scholarships for master classes to support the musician on her future path.
