On November 28, the representatives of the cultural institutions of the city of Lviv were guests. The meeting was organized by the Department of International Affairs (IO) in cooperation with the Office of Twin Cities of the City of Würzburg. The Ukrainian guests completed an extensive program in Würzburg: a visit to the Mainfranken Theater, the Singing and Music School and the Mozart Office as well as a guided tour of the Residenz. An important part of the program was a visit to our university. The guests were greeted with a musical surprise: a student from the Ukraine, Oleksandr Perlovskyi (clarinet), played Bandura, accompanied by a Ukrainian musician on the harp zither.
It was of particular interest to the Ukrainian guests to learn about the history and courses offered by the university as well as to find out more about the university's ensembles, concert activities and collaborations (Matthias-Grünewald-Gymnasium, Sing- und Musikschule and international exchange). Vice President Prof. Dr. Andreas C. Lehmann provided information about the university, together with Ms. Villani and Ms. Winter. A final highlight for the Ukrainian delegation was a visit to our Great Hall, where they were also able to experience a short demonstration of the hyper organ by Prof. Ritschel.
