We would like to congratulate our student Felix Gröger (class of Prof. Albrecht Holder) on his great success!
On October 13, 2025, he won the academy position for bassoon with a focus on contrabassoon at the renowned Staatskapelle Dresden.

Felix Gröger, born on September 6, 2002 in Germany, has been studying bassoon at the University of Music Würzburg with Prof. Albrecht Holder, Jürgen Fenner and Moritz Winker since October 2022 in the 7th semester of the bachelor's program.
He has already gained extensive orchestral experience as a substitute at the Staatstheater Meiningen, the Niederbayerische Philharmonie Passau and the Philharmonisches Orchester Würzburg, among others.

As a winner of several national and international competitions, he received the Klaus Thimm Music Sponsorship in 2024 and has already performed as a soloist in Germany and abroad.
