We are delighted to announce the success of Magdalena Greuner: Since September 2025, she has been an academy member of the Staatskapelle Halle and strengthens the orchestra as a flutist and piccoloist.
Magdalena Greuner is a graduate of the Saxon State High School for Music in Dresden. She went on to study flute at the University of Music Carl Maria von Weber Dresden and at the Esmuc (Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya) in Barcelona. She is currently continuing her studies in the Master's program at the University of Music Würzburg in the class of Prof. Stefan Albers.
She also received important artistic impulses through her participation in various orchestras. She gained experience as a trainee with the Vogtland Philharmonic Orchestra, was principal flute with the Saxony Police Orchestra and was able to demonstrate her skills in other projects. With her new position as an academy member of the Staatskapelle Halle, she is now expanding her musical career with a valuable station in professional orchestral life.
The Staatskapelle Halle is one of the oldest and most renowned orchestras in Germany. With a varied repertoire of classical, romantic and contemporary music as well as regular concerts, opera and chamber music performances, it shapes the cultural life of the region and enjoys an excellent reputation far beyond the city limits.
