We congratulate our Bachelor student Allen Wu on winning 3rd place in category 4 of the prestigious International Vienna Piano Competition "Wiener Klassik" 2025! With 88 points, he convinced the international jury and successfully prevailed against strong competition.
Allen Wu has been studying piano at the University of Music in the class of Prof. Ana-Mirabela Dina since the winter semester 2023/24. Born in Bremen in 2005, the pianist began playing the piano at the age of five and was accepted into the ISMA young student program at the Lübeck University of Music at the age of 16. There he received lessons from Prof. Konstanze Eickhorst before beginning his bachelor's degree in Karlsruhe in 2023.
His musical talent was confirmed early on by numerous prizes at "Jugend musiziert" and 1st prize at the "Franco Margola Music Competition" 2025 in Brescia, Italy. Allen Wu is also a scholarship holder of the Stähler Foundation.
The International Vienna Piano Competition "Wiener Klassik" is one of the most prestigious competitions of its kind and is aimed at outstanding young female pianists from all over the world. The participants are divided into different categories according to age and must perform works of Viennese classical music in several rounds. The jury consists of internationally renowned pianists and teachers. The competition offers young talents an important platform to present their artistic personality and promotes international musical exchange.
