Office hours: by arrangement

Bass-baritone Simon Tischler, born in Regensburg in 1984, attended the Regensburger Domspatzen music high school in his hometown. After graduating from high school, he first began studying the artistic subject of flute with Prof. Hermann Klemeyer at the University of Music Würzburg.

He is a member of the Concert Choir of the Bavarian Radio, performs regularly with ensembles such as the Chamber Choir Stuttgart and is regularly involved in CD productions and radio broadcasts.

In 2008 Simon Tischler was accepted into the voice class of Prof. Christian Elsner at the University of Music Würzburg and quickly became a sought-after concert singer due to his great musicality, strong sense of style and vocal versatility. He is establishing himself more and more with oratorio repertoire such as Paulus and Elias (Mendelssohn), Die Schöpfung and Die Jahreszeiten (Haydn) or in the vocal works of J. S. Bach.

The interpretation of Lied represents another artistic focus of the Deutschlandstipendiat. Compositions up to the 21st century belong to his repertoire. Together with the pianist Kerstin Mörk, he won the Armin Knab Competition for Lied 2013.

In opera, he sang roles such as Papageno and Sprecher in Mozart's "The Magic Flute," Truelove in Stravinsky's "A Rake's Progress," Budd in Britten's "Albert Herring," Don Alfonso in Mozart's "Cosi fan tutte," Masetto and Leporello in Mozart's "Don Giovanni," among others, at the Augsburg, Koblenz, Würzburg and Weikersheim operas.
