Since 01.04.2022 Seon Kim works in a permanent engagement at the Staatstheater Braunschweig as 2nd alto.

The mezzo-soprano was born in 1995 in Daejeon, South Korea, where she also completed her bachelor's degree in vocal music at Chungnam University. Since the winter semester 2019/2020, she has been studying opera singing in the master's program with Prof. Alexandra Coku at the HfM Würzburg.

Kim's repertoire includes roles such as the Third Lady (Magic Flute, Mozart), Fidalma (Il matrimonio Segreto, Cimarosa), Ms. Hsu (Heart Sutra, von Jost), Ascalax (Orpheus, Telemann), Carmen (Carmen, Bizet), and Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro, Mozart).
