Double bassist Junzhe Jia, a student in Dominik Wagner's Meisterklasse at the University of Music Würzburg, has successfully auditioned for the Academy of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (BRSO).
By being accepted into the renowned orchestra academy, he now has the opportunity to gain valuable experience in professional orchestral playing and to develop further under the guidance of internationally renowned musicians.

Born into a musical family in China in 2000, Junzhe Jia received his first double bass lessons from his father at the age of 8. After graduating from high school in 2018, he began his bachelor's programme at the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music. From 2021 he studied at the HMT Leipzig as a solo master and successfully completed his master's degree there in 2023. He then studied at the University of Music Würzburg Nuremberg as an orchestral master. Since the winter semester 2024, he has been studying in Dominik Wagner's Meisterklasse at the University of Music Würzburg.
