PreCollge students impress at the national competition in Lübeck

On May 31, 2024, this year's national "Jugend musiziert" competition took place in Lübeck, where the young talents of our music school shone.

Hanna Arold, a student of Prof. Eß on the horn, won first prize with 24 points. Her outstanding performance was particularly praised by the jury. Equally successful were Felix Balling (viola, class of Nimrod Guez) and Paul Stich (piano, class of Michaela Schlotter), who took first place in age group III.

Julius Bien and Jörg Bieberstein, both piano students of Ulrike Goldbeck, secured second place with 23 points. Their playing impressed the jury and audience alike. Anton Schmitt-Raiser, a clarinet student of Andreas Kowalczyk, was also awarded second prize with 22 points. His consistently high performance was recognized.

Leo Wilk (piano, Ulrike Goldbeck class) and Lea Hugel achieved third place with 20 points and also received recognition for their performance. Magnus Unger (trombone, Matyas Veer class) impressed with 19 points and showed his high musical quality even without a prize.

In addition to "Jugend musiziert", our PreKollegiates were also successful in the composition category. Béla Noll and Moritz Hoffmeyer took part in the "Jugend komponiert Bayern" competition from March 24 to 30, where Béla Noll received a special prize for an ensemble piece. Moritz Hoffmeyer continued his success at the national "Jugend komponiert" competition from April 1 to 7.

These successes underline the commitment of our PreKollegiaten and the excellent training at our music school. Congratulations to all prize winners!
