Sebina Weich, alumna of the University of Music Würzburg, has won a permanent position as Senior Lecturer for Music Theory at the University Mozarteum Salzburg, which she will take up in the winter semester 2025/26. Sebina Weich studied music theory at the University of Music Würzburg from 2018 to 2022 in the bachelor's programme (core subject taught by Prof. Almut Gatz, Prof. Matthias Tschirch, Prof. Dr. Christoph Wünsch).
Following her bachelor's degree, Sebina Weich studied theory of early music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Prof. Dr. Johannes Menke and Prof. Dr. Florian Vogt. She has been teaching at the University of Music Würzburg since fall 2022 and at the Mozarteum Salzburg since fall 2024; in the summer semester of 2025, she will also take on a part-time professorship at the Basel University of Music.
