The future of higher education - a look ahead

On March 31, 2025, Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU), together with Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences, Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences and the University of Music Würzburg (HfM), will host the Bavarian Day for Good Teaching. The motto of the event is"The future of higher education". The event is organized by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts.

A varied program awaits you: in addition to exciting panels with workshops, discussion rounds and lightning talks, an informative poster exhibition, interactive information stands and a VR experience area offer interesting insights into innovative teaching concepts. Childcare will be available to ensure broad participation.

The University of Music Würzburg is participating with two poster exhibition contributions:

  • High-tech in organ teaching - artificial intelligence, new music formats and digital teaching offers
  • The multimodal cooperative voice competence concept at the University of Music

Special highlight: Panel 4; From 15:45 to 16:30, Dr. Regina Götz (University of Music Würzburg) together with Dr. Fabian Kraus (University of Music Würzburg) and Dr. Anne Jurkutat (JMU) invite you to the interactive session"Erfahre mehr über (D)eine Stimme!". Participants can expect three topics:

  • Voice physiology lecture series: insight into the University of Music Würzburg's multimodal voice competence concept, which was developed in cooperation with the University Hospital of Würzburg (UKW) and the vocational school for speech therapy.
  • Live endoscopy of a professional singing voice: a fascinating look at the larynx in action with specialist analysis and tips for a healthy voice.
  • Mindfulness impulses for coherent teaching: practical exercises to improve presence, flexibility and vocal expressiveness in teaching.
