The ERASMUS+ university partnership with the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris is open! Prof. Friederike Heumann undertook a study trip to the renowned French university with her class for viola da gamba as part of the program for faculty mobility.
During the professional excursion, which lasted several days, the students visited, among other things, the restoration department of the Musée de la Musique and, with explanations from the curator, were able to take a close look at several historical instruments in the collection and better understand how they work. They prepared a joint concert with students of the viola da gamba class at the CNSMdP, participated in a masterclass by Prof. Christophe Coin, and performed together with a program of consort music in the Asfeld Viola da Gamba Festival.
With this excursion, Prof. Heumann laid the foundation for the ERASMUS+ partnership with the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in the field of faculty mobility. Students of the HfM can also apply for ERASMUS+ study places at the CNSMdP next year!
