Ingeborg Hallstein, Horst Laubenthal or later Leandra Overmann, Endrik Wottrich and Daniela Sindram, to name just a few, were certain: Gerold Hepp had a big heart.

The trained power plant electronics technician began his service at the University of Music Würzburg in 1997 as part of the "Bibrastraße Team", which came into being when the building was put into operation. In addition to the daily tasks in the gate and house management service, in the supervision of concerts, workshops or other projects, he was always open to concerns that were brought to him and found solutions here and there where there were actually none. To some extent, he shaped the gears in the second building of the university with his robust, where necessary, but always cordial manner.

Due to various illnesses, he was unfortunately no longer able to perform his duties for several years, which left a large gap that was also felt throughout the building.

Gerold Hepp passed away on December 6, 2022.
