Double bassist Noi Nishiguchi has been appointed principal double bass with the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra in Osaka, Japan. He is currently a student at the University of Music Würzburg in the class of Professor Dominik Wagner (since the winter semester 2023/24). Previously, he was enrolled in the class of Professor Michinori Bunya from 2020 to 2023.

He began his musical education at the Kyoto City University of Arts. Since the 2020/21 winter semester, he has continued his studies at the University of Music Würzburg.

Noi Nishiguchi already gained extensive orchestral experience during his studies: in the 2021/22 season he was an intern at the Staatsbad Philharmonie Kissingen, in 2022 a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, and in the 2022/23 season an intern at the Staatstheater Braunschweig. He received a temporary contract there in 2024.
