This motto of the Carl Bechstein Foundation can be confirmed by 11-year-old Parzival Namsoongnein (PreCollege, class Ulrike Goldbeck) and his piano duo partner Darian Müller (class Susanne Müller-Gorges), both of whom spend a lot of time at the keys besides school. They have known for a long time that happiness at the keys often requires considerable practice.

There were beaming faces last weekend in Berlin when the jury of the renowned Bechstein Youth Competition awarded the duo first prize in their age group and also a special prize for the convincing performance of their contemporary works ("Zank" and "Glocken" from Jatekok by György Kurtag).
