The University of Music Würzburg (HfM) offers education and training on a high artistic, artistic-pedagogical and academic level, with the goal of providing students successful entry into a career field and to enable an active and responsible organization of music-cultural life. With this objective, the University of Music finds itself at the crossroads of tradition and innovation in coming to terms with the dynamic career possibilities associated with current societal and cultural changes and in developing corresponding teaching and learning opportunities. This includes the development of individual artistic-musical excellence with intensive personal development through engaged instructors, as well as the creation of extensive artistic-pedagogical qualifications and academic competence through teaching and learning opportunities. (cf. ERASMUS+ Policy Statement). ERASMUS+ incoming students will be supported in the best possible way and taught in their main instrument by the full-time professors of our institution. By playing in various ensembles at our institution, as well as by participating in offered courses, ERASMUS+ students enrich our academics and gain valuable experience themselves. Moreover, our goal is to integrate ERASMUS+ students not only into university life, but also into student life in tne city of Würzburg.
Students at our ERASMUS+ partner universities prepare their application to study in Wuerzburg together with International Office of their home university. After that, the International Office nominates the applicant by sending us a notification via e-mail.
Important: Only applications that are submitted on time via EASY database will be accepted. The application link will be activated on 15 January. Registration instructions can be found here. If you do not have access to EASY, please contact us by e-mail: email@example.com
Students who are not studying at one of our ERASMUS+ partner universities, but are enrolled at a university in the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Norway, Switzerland or Turkey, please contact the International Office of your university. If possible, we then initiate an ERASMUS+ partnership together with our colleagues. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee every student a cooperation agreement for studies at our university, as we receive many more ERASMUS+ applications every year than we can accept.
The following application documents must be uploaded:
- Link to a video recording with approx. 15 minutes of music (3 different styles)
- Curriculum vitae (in German or English)
- Transcript of Records (in German or English)
- Proof of language skills in German (at least B2 CEFR) or in English (at least B2 CEFR) or confirmation from the ERASMUS+-Coordinator at your home institutuion about your sufficient language skills (B2).
The application deadline is 15 March of each year for both semesters of the coming academic year!
