Notes on the application procedure

Please refer to the relevant advertisements on the Muvac platform or the Qualification Statutes (QualS) for the documents to be submitted. The documents do not have to be submitted in paper form. The fee is also collected directly via Muvac.

aptitude assessment

The selection procedures take place at the university between the end of May and the end of June. The exact requirements can be found in the Qualification Statutes (QualS) and on our overview pages on the content of the aptitude assessments.

After successfully passing the aptitude test, you will receive a letter of admission. You will be asked to accept the study place within a certain period of time. If you do not accept the study place within the deadline, your application will not be considered further.

Upon enrolment at the end of September (see deadlines), you will then become a student at the University of Music Würzburg at the start of the semester on October 1st.

Language skills

Important note for enrolment after a successful selection procedure

Foreign applicants require a final certificate of the language skills required in the respective degree programmes for enrolment:

  • Master of Music with an artistic focus
    Level B1 of the CEFR; deviating from this, Master of Vocal Coaching: Level B2 of the CEFR
  • Master of Music with an artistic-pedagogical focus
    Level C1 of the CEFR
  • Confirmations of participation in language courses without a certificate examination cannot be recognized.
