Würzburg-born Korean Sinn Yang has been engaged as deputy concertmaster of the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra since the 2014/15 season.

After her debut CD with works by Schubert, Debussy, Jörg Widmann etc., her second CD "8 Seasons" will be released by OehmsClassics in spring 2014.

As a soloist Sinn Yang has performed with the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin, the Nuremberg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra Carl-Phillip-Emanuel Bach and the Southwest German Chamber Orchestra among others in Munich, Prague, Japan and South Korea under conductors such as Michael Sanderling, Wolfram Christ.

In the duo "ViA!" with Harald Oeler (classical accordion) Sinn Yang played with great success the program "8 seasons" in concerts at festivals like "Heidelberger Frühling", "Opere" in Bracciano/Italy and Helsinki.

She is the winner of the violin competition 2008 "Ton und Erklärung - Werkvermittlung in Musik und Wort" in Berlin, initiated by the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft im BDI e.V. In 2009 she received the cultural promotion award of her hometown Würzburg.

She received her training with Max Speermann at the University of Music Würzburg and with Prof. Thomas Brandis at the University of Music Lübeck, where she graduated in 2009 in the "Soloist Class".

She has worked as a concertmaster at the State Theaters in Meiningen, Darmstadt and Nuremberg as well as at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

Also as a chamber music partner, she has performed with Thomas Brandis, Barbara Westphal, Jens-Peter Maintz and the Henschel Quartet, among others.

In December 2016, the musician will take over Max Speermann's class on a substitute basis.
