Prof. Enikö Török
Enikö Török, born in Hungary, began playing the piano at the age of four. She completed her music studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, where she was a master class student of Professor Kornel Zempléni. During her studies she taught piano at the Szeged Conservatory and worked in the music department of the Hungarian Radio in Budapest. She participated twice in master classes with Guido Agosti, was in Sweden with Janos Solyom and played concerts in Hungary, Sweden, Austria and Switzerland. Since 1975 she has lived in Germany, where she taught piano at the Würzburg Conservatory until 1976 and has taught at the University of Music since 1977.
She performs regularly as a soloist, with various chamber music partners and with her husband, cellist Janos Török. In 1976 she co-founded the Amati Piano Trio with the 1st concertmaster of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the City of Würzburg, Alexander Kaczkowsky. This ensemble performed throughout Germany until the death of Alexander Kaczkowsky. The program focused on works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Dvorak, Schumann, Smetana and Brahms. With her then duo partner Prof. Edith Thauer she performed piano duos by Mozart, Brahms, Liszt, Poulenc, Ravel.
