Arseniy Strokovskiy

Arseniy Strokovskiy has won prizes at major accordion competitions in Spain, Italy, Finland, Russia, Germany, China, Australia and New Zealand. An important boost to his career was his victory at the prestigious accordion competition in Klingenthal in 2016, which earned him the honour of performing at the Berlin Philharmonie. His extensive concert career has taken him to France, Italy, Finland, Russia, Germany, Japan, Slovakia, Serbia and Lithuania. Strokovskiy is a valued guest at international music festivals such as the Manifeste at the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the PIF Castelfidardo in Italy. His close collaboration with contemporary composers is reflected in the interpretation of several world premieres, including at the International Festival "Bayan and Bayanists" in Moscow. He is also a sought-after jury member at prestigious music competitions.
Arseniy Strokovskiy completed his first music degree at the Moscow State Institute of Music under the guidance of Prof Sergey Osokin in Moscow. His path later led him to Würzburg, where he studied with Prof. Stefan Hussong as part of a DAAD scholarship at the Würzburg University of Music. Strokovskiy is active as a guest accordionist in various theatre performances and concert projects at the Alte Oper Frankfurt, Landestheater Coburg, Staatstheater Darmstadt and Pflalztheater Kaiserlautern, among others. He has been teaching accordion, methodology and didactics at the Würzburg University of Music since 2023.
