Mateusz Phouthavong is a musician, systemic coach (DGSF) and educational consultant with a focus on music education, artistic project work, digital media, ensemble management and advising conductors. Since November 2024, he has been a lecturer for special tasks at the University of Music Würzburg in the field of digital media education. He has been working there as a project coordinator in the third-party funded project "Netzwerk 4.0 der Musikhochschulen" since 2021.

He has extensive teaching experience - including at the FAU Erlangen (audio production) and the Medical School Hamburg (collective improvisation) - and has worked as an educational consultant and project manager in several nationwide funding programs, such as "Neustart Amateurmusik".

As a freelance musician, he has been active in various contexts since 2009 - as a vocalist, workshop leader and artistic project developer. From 2009 to 2017, he was an ensemble member of the a cappella band VIVA VOCE, with whom he toured nationally and internationally and created numerous stage and album projects. Other works include sound installations such as "Musik berührt" and "so_und:now?!" as well as collaborations with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, Latvian Voices, Diakonie, Bodo Wartke and Rolf Zuckowski.
