Studies: University of Music Karlsruhe (diploma orchestral musician and instrumental pedagogy); scholarship at the "Juilliard School of Music New York" (Master of Music) with Harvey Shapiro; studies with Paul Tortelier.

Concert activity: Europe, Russia, North and South Africa, North America (among others Carnegie-Recital-Hall, Merkin-Concert-Hall New York), South America (Chile), Korea and China. Guest at many festivals: e.g. Schleswig-Holstein Festival, mdr-Musiksommer, Jazztage Braunschweig (together with the J. Loussier Trio), "Beethoven Festival" Krakow, "International Contemporary Music Festival Hong Kong", "Mozart Festival" St. Petersburg, "Victoria International Music Festival" Canada.

Chamber music: founding member of the Manhattan String Trio, the topos-trio (with C. Eva-Richter and M. Kravtchin), member of various ensembles. Chamber music partner of M. Bunya, W. Forchert, U. Klausenitzer, H. Klemeyer, N. Korsakova, M. Kravtchin, S.-T. Matthies, J. Müller-Brincken, K. Ratner, C. Richter, E. Shumsky, M. Speermann, M. Wang, M. Wu, G. Zhislin, among others.

Orchestra: 1995 - 2007 1st solo cellist of the Bavarian Chamber Orchestra under U. Klausenitzer, collaboration with such personalities as J. Loussier, G. Polt, H. Prey, K. Stockhausen. In 2006 and 2007 as soloist with this orchestra in South Korea concerts in the most important concert halls of the country. Solo cellist with Concerto Bamberg under R. Beck; invitations from the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra for CD productions (L. Fleisher) and concerts.

Pedagogical activities: Active at various institutes in Germany since 1991; 12 years lecturer at the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra; adjudicator of various competitions; assistant to Harvey Shapiro. Chamber music and violoncello courses in Germany, China (Central Conservatory Beijing) and Chile. Many of his students won prizes in competitions and are members of various orchestras. Since 1999 regularly active in Hong Kong: (masterclasses at universities, cello and chamber music lessons). From 2008 to 2010 at the Musikakademie Kassel lecturer for main subject violoncello, chamber music, methodology/didactics. Full-time lecturer for violoncello, chamber music and young students at the Musikhochschule in Regensburg.
