Flavia Käfer

Flavia Käfer studied oboe and instrumental pedagogy at the University of Music Würzburg with Prof. Jochen Müller-Brincken and Ralf-Jörn Köster, and in Valencia (Spain) with Prof. Jesus Fuster. Master classes with renowned oboists such as Prof. Stefan Schilli, Prof. Christian Wetzel, Prof. Gregor Witt, Prof. Diethelm Jonas, Prof. Ingo Goritzki and Albrecht Mayer round off her musical education. For her diploma thesis on the topic of musicians' health, Flavia Käfer won the Kulturpreis Bayern 2015. Meanwhile, she completed training as a yoga teacher at yogahaus Würzburg and has now been teaching yoga for musicians, among other things, at the University of Music Würzburg as a lecturer since 2017.
In addition to her many years of teaching as an oboe teacher at the Sing- und Musikschule der Stadt Lohr a. Main, among others, the young oboist has enjoyed numerous engagements and temporary work in professional orchestras and ensembles, both as a soloist and as an orchestral musician, such as. She has played with the Meininger Staatstheater, the Münchner Bachsolisten, the Bachorchester Würzburg, the Collegium Musicum and Bachcollegium Aschaffenburg, the Oettinger Bachorchester and the Landestheater Detmold. Concert tours and performances have taken her to Brazil, Montenegro, Croatia, Spain and Switzerland, among other places.
