Dr. Regina Götz

Dr. rer. nat. Regina Götz studied school music for grammar school teaching (bassoon major) and psychology in Würzburg (University of Music Würzburg & JMU) and Vienna (MdW & Main University of Vienna).
At the same time, she completed her training as a breathing therapist and teacher AFA® according to Prof. Middendorf at the Institute for Breathwork in Munich.

From 2012 to 2023, Dr. Regina Götz worked as a lecturer for special tasks and as a research assistant in university teaching as well as in various research projects on psychological and musical issues at the JMU Würzburg. During this time, she also successfully completed the Bavarian University Teaching Certificate and the mentoring and qualification modules of the SCIENTIA program for career development for young female scientists at JMU Würzburg.

In her outstanding empirical doctorate, she dealt in detail with the interdisciplinary, developmental-psychological topic of Musical Family Learning Environments. Transfer effects on phonological information processing at kindergarten age, taking into account structural characteristics of origin. The monograph was published in 2022 by Dr. Kovač.

Since the winter semester 2023/24, Dr. Regina Götz has been responsible for the Music & Health/Music Medicine department at the University of Music Würzburg.
