Fabian Borchers, born in Munich in 1979, received his first horn lessons from Hubert Pilstl. After youth orchestra experiences in the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and during his studies in Munich (Wolfgang Gaag, Eric Terwilliger) and Weimar (Jörg Brückner, Hasko Kröger), he became horn player of the Nuremberg State Philharmonic in 2001, where he returned after an engagement in the Museum Orchestra of the Frankfurt Opera (2009-2015). He was also second horn player and associate of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen from 2003 to 2007.
